Marketing

“The science and art of exploring, creating, and delivering value to satisfy the needs of a target market at a profit. Marketing identifies unfulfilled needs and desires. It defines, measures and quantifies the size of the identified market and the profit potential. It pinpoints which segments the company is capable of serving best and it designs and promotes the appropriate products and services.”

~ Dr. Philip Kotler

You have an idea, a product or service. You are good at what you have created but now feel a little lost on how to get this product in front of your prospective buyers or clients.

I adapt my life-long experience in marketing to your specific opportunities. My process begins by interviewing you, learning your passions, why you created this product and your goals for increasing sales. Marketing is NOT a one size fits all solution.

We will discover together what you have invested, how your targeted market may perceive your product and its value compared to what you are charging. I enter into the relationship believing everyone is a prospective client while the cost of getting them to bite focuses our efforts to those who will most readily purchase your offering.

Case Study – Maple Lawn Homes

I was fortunate to be in on the ground floor when new CEO took over. He wanted to make a big splash and build excitement within his team. We chatted about his vision. I interviewed his management team and line employees to discover their passions, where they thought the organization had succeeded and where it could do better.

Following the enlightening conversations our solution was to rename “Maple Lawn Homes,” “Communities of Maple Lawn.” This new identity brought together all the services including the nursing home, cottages, apartments, Meals-On-Wheels as well as the daycare into one cohesive family resulting in staff sensing they were part of a larger vision all contributing to the success of the whole.

Since all stakeholders were engaged they felt ownership of the renewed vision and its success. A new logo was developed, a website created, newsletters sent, and social media created. The response from staff, residents and family members was overwhelming resulting in greater awareness and improvements to the organization’s bottom line.

“Jeff McSweeney was a partner in the growth and success of Maple Lawn. From the beginning of my tenure he was instrumental in creating a distinctive identity, championing it through the organization and branding the organization as a leader for daycare and senior living opportunities in Central Illinois.”
