Case Study – Maple Lawn Homes
I was fortunate to be in on the ground floor when new CEO took over. He wanted to make a big splash and build excitement within his team. We chatted about his vision. I interviewed his management team and line employees to discover their passions, where they thought the organization had succeeded and where it could do better.
Following the enlightening conversations our solution was to rename “Maple Lawn Homes,” “Communities of Maple Lawn.” This new identity brought together all the services including the nursing home, cottages, apartments, Meals-On-Wheels as well as the daycare into one cohesive family resulting in staff sensing they were part of a larger vision all contributing to the success of the whole.
Since all stakeholders were engaged they felt ownership of the renewed vision and its success. A new logo was developed, a website created, newsletters sent, and social media created. The response from staff, residents and family members was overwhelming resulting in greater awareness and improvements to the organization’s bottom line.
